NATIONAL HEROES DAY (formerly Discovery Day) Public Holiday – Monday October 14th, 2013

The general public is advised that Monday, October 14th, 2013 will be observed as NATIONAL HEROES DAY  (formerly Discovery Day). This is in keeping with the Cabinet’s policy made in 2002 that public holidays falling on Saturdays, with the exception of Independence, Christmas and Boxing Day, will be observed the following Monday.

The bill establishing National Heroes Day was signed on October 11th, 2013. January 10th was also established as the official Majority Rule Day holiday.
