(Nassau, Bahamas) – Police along with officers from the Civil Aviation Department in the capital say they are investigating the death of a 41-year-old male, maintenance worker, who was killed in an accident at Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) around 9:45 am on Thursday 28th February, 2013.
The deceased was working on a Beech 1900 N413CM aircraft at the airport when the plane’s landing gear collapsed, causing part of the aircraft to fall, pinning him.
According to police reports, the victim, who is believed to be a Florida resident was pronounced dead by the Airport’s nurse.
Active police investigations continue.
