The Cabinet Office announced today that, due to the hurricane watch of Tropical Storm Sandy, all schools, public and private, will be closed Thursday and Friday of this week.
All Government offices, except for emergency services, will also remain closed Thursday and Friday. Airports, seaports and the bridges are advised to remain close on Thursday and Friday due to the strength of the wind, which is expected to be in excess of 40mph.
Businesses, including Banks, are also being advised to remain closed Thursday and Friday.
Based on the projected path of the storm, residents are advised to heed the warnings issued by The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Meteorology Department and stay tuned for further updates.
