Games played on Saturday March 16, 2013 in the Eleuthera Junior Baseball League:

In Rock Sound:

 In the Coach Pitch Division –  (Spanish Wells)  Hook n’ Jook  – coached by the ladies (Coach Miclelli and Coach Georgina) fought back to overcome the early lead by (Rock Sound)  Coco Plums  coached by (Coach Larry and Coach Lincoln) to win their second game of the season. The

Hook n’ Jook continued with their fine fielding and strong hitting, while the Coco Plums showed some positive improvement.

In  the Minor Division the (Harbour Island)  Briland Tornados (0 & 3) lost by default to the (Rock Sound)  Sports Center Marlins (2 & 1).

 In the Junior Division the (Spanish Wells) Contenders (3 & 0) and the (Rock Sound)  NuView Stingrays (0 & 3) were locked in a pitching duel between Kendrick Sweeting of the Contenders with 2 strike outs and 4 runs, and Deanjelo Young of the NuView Stingrays with 7strike outs and 2 runs. The Contenders pulled off the win (with 7 runs and 8 hits) over the Stingrays (with 5 runs and 7 hits). Kevin Sweeting of the Contenders went 2 for 4 with a 2 run homer and 2 RBI, while Alpheaus Cooper  of the Stingrays went 3 for 3 with two doubles and 2 RBI .

This Coming Week-End, March 23, 2013:

Play continues in Spanish Wells.

·       11:30 am – Minor Division  – (Harbour Island)  Briland Tornados vs.  (Spanish Wells) Slugger.

·       1:15 pm – Minor Division – (Green Castle) Scotia Bank Dragons vs.  (Rock Sound) Sports Center Marlins.

·       3:00 pm – Junior Division (Rock Sound) NuView Stingrays vs. the (Spanish Wells) Contenders.

NOTE: There will be no games next week to allow everyone to attend the Carifta Games
