A male, identified as Aljami Augustus Pinder (28) of Hatchet Bay, was killed in a single car accident in The Current, North Eleuthera on Wednesday night, December 7th, 2016. Police say they were notified of the accident at about 10:30pm on The Current main road and upon arrival met a purple 2007 Honda Civic #317768 on the northern side of the road, extensively damaged and sitting upright in a pond.
They discovered the lifeless body of the deceased lying on his back on a dryer portion of the same pond. He was pronounced dead by an attending nurse. The driver and two other passengers, all of Hatchet Bay, were taken to the Lower Bogue Clinic where they were complaining of pain in the upper body.
The group was traveling east on The Current main road when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle and it over turned several times before ending up in the pond.
Police say, investigations continue.
