 MARINE FORECAST FOR THE BAHAMAS FOR 24 HOURS FROM 12AM THURSDAY 08TH JUNE 2017 ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY AT 0400 UTC

 WARNINGS: RESIDENTS IN THE EXTREME NORTHWEST BAHAMAS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR THE RISK OF LOCALIZED FLOODING IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS DURING HEAVY AND PROLONGED RAINFALL EVENTS. BOATERS IN THE NORTHWEST BAHAMAS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR THE HIGH RISK OF WATERSPOUTS.

 GENERAL SITUATION: AN UPPER TROUGH IN THE WESTERN AND CENTRAL GULF AS WELL AS A BROAD LOW IN THE GULF OF MEXICO CONTINUES TO PULL DEEP TROPICAL MOISTURE PLUME ACROSS MAINLY THE NORTHWEST BAHAMAS SUPPORTING ROUNDS OF HEAVY RAINFALL AND EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS.
