Police in Eleuthera are investigating the circumstances leading to a vehicular accident in Governor’s Harbour that extensively damaged the car and completely destroyed a BEC Electicity distribution pole on Sunday.
The accident occurred before 2:00pm on Queen Elizabeth’s Highway in the area of Sunset Inn Restaurant and Bar. The Ford car being driven by a resident of Deep Creek South Eleuthera was reportedly headed south when the driver is believed to have lost control and crashed into the utility pole, breaking it into two pieces.
The 34 year old driver and his 26 year old passenger both received injuries and were taken to the Governor’s Harbour Clinic for medical attention.
