(Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera, Bahamas) – Residents hoping for a return of water service over the past weekend, as anticipated in a published release by the Water and Sewerage Corporation (WSC) late last week are, as of Monday, August 8th, still facing a disruption in their water supply, which despite ongoing efforts, are still being experienced. General Manager for Eleuthera, Mr. Anthony Bostwick, in recent communication expressed sincere apologies for the inconveniences being caused, and commented that they were acutely aware of the present state of affairs in many areas of Central Eleuthera, and would not stop working to bring relief until the water supply is restored to normal.
He said that they have been working 24/7 to create temporary delivery and ultimately fix the major challenges and severe damage to equipment at the Central Eleuthera Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant. The Eleutheran has learnt that critical equipment at the plant has had to be shipped out for further repairs. Botswick says, that they are working closely with their contracted water production company, General Electric; and that installation would follow immediately afterwards with distribution being the next immediate step.
