(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – Severe thunderstoms  overnight has caused a disruption in both Water and Electricity service in the Central Eleuthera area. According to Water and Sewerage the RO plant was shutdown during the intense lightning storm to prevent damage to their equipment and electricity problems  being experienced in the area on Thursday morning was impacting their ability to resume production/distribution.  As for electricity, the Island Manager, Robert Hall has communicated that power has been going on and off since about 1:00am in Central Eleuthera and crews were out on Thursday morning in the area working to restore the service.
