Area Manager with the Water & Sewerage Corporation (WSC), Anthony Bostwick, announced on Saturday morning, December 5th, 2015, that the Central Eleuthera Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant experienced mechanical challenges due to  weather on Friday evening, December 4th.  As of 7am on Saturday, the RO Plant was reported by Bostwick as offline and customers were warned that they would experience low to no pressure in some areas.

A team from GE was said to be working to have repairs completed later in the day on Saturday to return distribution of water supply back to normal.  Management at the WSC apologized for the inconvenience caused to customers.
