(Eleuthera, Bahamas ) – Limited water supply continues to be diverted from the high demand station in Lower Bogue, North Eleuthera, for the embattled residents of Central Eleuthera, many of whom continue their wait for the restoration of their full water supply.

According to the  Water and Sewerage Corporation (WSC) Area Manager for the island of Eleuthera , Mr. Anthony Bostwick, the replacement part necessary to carry out  repair of the damaged high pressure pump at the Naval Base Reverse Osmosis Plant, in Governor’s Harbour, will arrive in  Eleuthera on Thursday after which repairs can finally begin.

“WSC Management and staff in Central Eleuthera continue to monitor and manage this situation ” Mr. Bostwick commented.

He confirmed that the areas affected are, James’ Cistern, Hatchet Bay, Gregory Town, Governor’s Harbour, Palmetto Point, Savannah Sound, and Windermere Island, and added, “Limited pumping continues from Bogue as Harbour Island is a high demand area and Spanish Wells remains normal”.
