Bahamas Faith Ministries International youth ministry Total Youth Church (TYC) will host Youth Alive 2014 July 2nd-6th at the Diplomat Center, Carmichael Road. This highly anticipated youth experience will be held under the theme “The Redemption” and is expected to attract hundreds of young people, young adults, youth leaders and youth directors from throughout the Bahamas, the Caribbean and around the world.

Drama will once again anchor the evening sessions of Youth Alive 2014 with the Redemption theme coming to life during a three (3) part production that will be spread over each of the three (3) evening sessions. This year the drama will center around a character named “Jermaine Strachan” who is about to face the electric chair for a heinous crime and with only moments left to breathe and with only one that thing can save him, the production will ask the question can he, will he, be redeemed?

Recognizing that young people in the Bahamas continue to grapple with a number of issues including pre-marital sex, self identity, teenage pregnancy and anti-social behavior, organizers have established several day and evening sessions in an effort to address some of these issues.

Speakers this year will include Senior Pastor of BFMI Dr.Myles Munroe, Youth & Family Specialist Dr. Dave Burrows and newly installed Youth Pastor at BFM Lavard “Manifest” Parks (caption photo). Additional speakers will include Children specialist Pastor Ricardo Miller, Pastor Radel Parks, Minister Candera Gilbert and Davrielle Burrows. All day and night sessions are free of charge.

Music is always a central component of the Youth Alive mix and this year the lineup of artists scheduled to perform include JME Medina from Tennessee, Bishop Ridge from Dallas Texas and international gospel hip-hop recording artist “Flame” from St.Louis, MO. Also scheduled to perform are several top Bahamian gospel artists including multiple Marlin Award winner Monty G, DJ Counsellor, Gospel Boys, V-Mac, Mr. Beeds, WD-4D, Halle, Christian Massive and spoken word artist Sapphire. Youth Alive will conclude with the hosting of The Redemption Concert on Saturday July 5th 2014 at the Diplomat Center.

Tickets for the concert are only $5.00 and are available at Megabyte Computers and Faith Life Book & Music Center.
