Shortly after 3pm today a 13 yr old female was in the area of a local business establishment in Rock Sound, when a 27 year old male of South Eleuthera, known to have mental challenges reportedly entered the establishment and placed his hand on her face and made sexually suggestive remarks towards her.
As a result, the teen left the building and reported the incident to her parents, who subsequently reported it to police.
The male is currently in police custody.
Word of a possible altercation between the man and members of the community reached our news desk, however police said late on Wednesday that they were not aware of any physical altercation with family or community members.
