The Eleuthera Basketball Association (EBA) regular season wrapped up on Monday March 10th with a sudden death match-up  for fourth place between the Harbour Island Crusaders and the Tarpum Bay Takers.  It was a good battle between the two teams for the final spot in the semi-final playoffs which saw the Crusaders taking the game, 77 to 70. Tony Oliver  of Harbour Island had a high score of 37 points with teammate, Raymond Higgs, racking up 12 points.  Jamal Henfield stacked up 17 points for Tarpum Bay, along with Larenzo Rolle and Jermiko Carey who both finished with 15 points each.


The top four standings at the end of the regular season were:

  • Harbour Island Panthers 1st
  • Governor’s Harbour Office General Kings 2nd
  • Gregory Town Warriors 3rd
  • Harbour Island Crusaders 4th


The best of 5, semi-finals kicked off on Tuesday night, March 11th, 2014, with Gregory Town Warriors challenging the Governor’s Harbour Office General Kings in Governor’s Harbour.  The Warriors defeated the home team in a high scoring  game one – piling on 95 points just inching past the Kings 91 point tally.  Cobie Johnson for the Warriors amassed 33 points with 8 rebounds, and Ronido Parks, also for the Warriors supported well with 19 points.  Kenrick Davis for the Kings racked up 35 points and 13 rebounds, with teammate Valentino Sands contributing 19 points. Game two between the nicely matched teams takes place on Monday March 17th in Gregory Town at 7pm.


The Harbour Island Crusaders  will take on the formidable  Panthers in the first game of their semi-final round  on Thursday, March 13th in Harbour Island.
