Eleuthera businessman, Mr. Roderick Pinder graduated from the Bahamas Conference of The Methodist Church C-Let Program on Saturday, 22nd June, 2013 with a Diploma in Ministry.  He was also the Valedictorian of his class and won the President’s Award for Academic Excellence.
Mr. Pinder was enrolled in a 2 year program that required him to travel to Wesley Seminary in Washington D.C. for 2 summers (2011 and 2012) and also 2 years of weekend travel to Nassau to join 9 other students who were also in the program.  These students comprised of members of other denominations such as Church of the Nazarene, New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Pilgrim Baptist Church and several other Methodist congregations.
This was the second cohort of students all of which were over the age of 40.
The course was quite an extensive one that covered subjects such as Project Management, Church Administration, Pastoral Care, Ethics, Conflict Resolution, Studies in Old & New Testament, Spiritual Formation and Theology.  The course of study required that each participant choose an area to focus on as a ministry placement.  Roderick chose Conflict Resolution and he facilitated a 6 week Seminar at his home church, Wesley Methodist Church, Governor’s Harbour, which took place earlier in the year.
