(Rainbow Bay, Eleuthera) In the early hours of Saturday morning, March 16th, 2013, yet another traffic accident in Rainbow Bay, Eleuthera, involving four young men of Gregory Town has left two of them in critical condition.
Eighteen year old Delroy Roxbury, the driver of a Champagne Honda Accord, accompanied by front seat passenger Dequante Stubbs (name corrected from Dequan Albury) (18), a fifteen year old male and Travis Johnson (18), reportedly, around 3am crashed into a tree on Queen’s Highway. Witness accounts said, the vehicle burst into flames, however, the occupants were all taken out of the vehicle before it was consumed.
The young men were taken to the Hatchet Bay clinic for emergency treatment. Two of them were listed as being in critical condition, driver, Delroy Roxbury and front passenger, Dequante. After being stabilized at the clinic, both young men were then transported to the Governor’s Harbour airport by local HACE ambulance services, and flown into New Providence via air ambulance.
This accident occurred further north along the road where on February 4th, 2013, a two car collision resulted in the death of American visitor to Eleuthera, Walter Boname. Mr. Boname was one of four people killed on the Eleuthera main road in February.
