(Eleuthera, Bahamas) Men of Faith, based in Palmetto Point, Eleuthera, Bahamas, in their endeavour to do their part to tackle crime in the country, are planning their 2nd annual visit to H.M. Prison in New Providence.
According to the group, it is due to the great success and life-changing effect of their last trip, that they have decided to share this experience with 26 young men, grades 11-12 of the Central Eleuthera High School.
To help make this become a reality, they are reaching out with a humble request for assistance – an investment together, in the lives of the future generation of men and by extension the wider community of Eleuthera and The Bahamas.
“It is very evident as we listen to the media that crime has taken a toll on our nation and in a time when many have given up and counted out our young people, especially our men, we believe that there is still hope and will therefore try our endeavor best to ensure that the young men of our island will not become a prison statistic”, the group expressed in communication with The Eleutheran.
Men of Faith expects to be traveling into New Providence from the Governor’s Harbor Airport via Air Charter on the morning of April 26th, 2013 and returning late that afternoon.
It is an experience they promise that will stir the hearts and thoughts of the young men by teaching them various life lessons and showing them that for every bad choice made in life, consequences will follow. They added, “this will become real to them as they take a tour of Her Majesty’s Prison, followed by a motivational lecture. Bus transportation and a meal will also be provided.”
Thanks has been expressed in advance for your support. “May God bless you.”
