An officer of the Royal Bahamas Police Force in Eleuthera had to be airlifted to New Providence for medical assistance, after he was attacked by a group of men who struck him to the head. The incident happened on Friday, March 01st, 2013 at about 8:30pm when the officer was at a business establishment on Queen’s Highway in James Cistern.  He was taken to the local clinic for treatment before being flown out of the island. A 38 year old male of James Cistern, is in police custody for Causing Grievous Harm, in relation to this matter.
