The FUTURE ACHIEVERS MODELING EXCELLENCE (FAME) Girls Club of Wemyss’ Bight took on the challenge of cleaning the beach in Wemyss’ Bight South Eleuthera in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy which deposited a large amount of sea-weed on to the sand. In addition to being unappealing to the eyes, sea-weed comes with an unmistakable stench.
The club along with its organizers, Mrs. Grace Rolle, Chairman; Ms. Delores Stubbs, Secretary; and Mrs. Frances Friend, Public Relations all met on the beach and assisted in cleaning the beach sand of sea-weed.

Also assisting the organizers were Mrs. Olivia Brown, parent and Mr. Alentino Gibson and Mr. Chad Smith from the Boys Club.
The Girls Club says that it will continue to assist with community projects such as this one.
