The Nassau man accused of killing a Jamaican national in Gregory Town on November 19th, 2009, has been acquitted by a jury in the Capital.
Kevin Dawkins (27) was found not guilty by an 11-1 verdict in the stabbing death of 39-year-old Fitzroy McDonald, of Jamaica, at the residence of Kimberly Morgan. The acquitted man was the former boyfriend of Morgan, and the victim her fiancé.
The death had been classified as Eleuthera’s first homicide for over 2 years and the 77th in the Bahamas for 2009.
