POLICE REQUESTS PUBLIC’S HELP IN SOLVING SEVERAL OVERNIGHT ARMED ROBBERIES
Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the person(s) responsible for three (3) armed robberies that occurred overnight. The first incident reportedly occurred shortly after 6:00pm on Friday 10th August 2012. Initial police reports indicates that the victim was in the area of Texaco Service Station located on Robinson Road, when he was approached by three males armed with a handgun, who robbed him of jewelry and other personal effects. The men then fled on foot.
The second incident reportedly occurred shortly after 9:00pm on Friday 10th August 2012. A male victim reported to police that shortly after 9:00pm, while walking in the area of East and Deveaux Streets, two men armed with a handgun approached him and robbed and him of cash. The men then fled on foot.
RBPF SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT TEAM ARRESTS ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT
Shortly after 9:30pm on Friday 10th August 2012 the Real Deal Liquor Store located on the corner of Baillou Hill Road and Soldier Road was held up and robbed.
According to police reports, a male armed with a firearm entered the mentioned establishment, held the managers and patrons at bay, and robbed them of an undisclosed amount of cash. The gunman then fled on foot.
Moments later officers assigned to the RBPF Selective Enforcement Team were on patrol in the area, where they arrested a 19-year-old resident of Nassau Village in connection with this matter.
POLICE INVESTIGATES A SHOOTING
Police are investigating a shooting incident, that have left a 25 year old male of Major Road, Yellow Elder Gardens in serious but stable condition. Police reports indicate that shortly after 10:00pm on Friday 10th August 2012 the victim was standing in front of his residence, when the driver of a gold Honda Accord, approached him and shot him to the upper body. The vehicle then sped off. The victim was then transported to hospital via EMS personnel. Police are conducting a very intense investigation into all of these matters and are asking anyone with information to contact the police at telephone numbers 919 or 328-tips.
