On Wednesday 11th July, 2012 at approximately 9:42pm, the police were notified of a man being stabbed in the Sunridge Road and Carissa Street (Freeport) area. The officers responded and discovered that upon arrival, the victim, a 26 year old male resident of Freeport who was transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital via private vehicle for medical attention, succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
This man has been officially identified as Calvin Stuart DOB 18th August, 1985 of Freeport, Grand Bahama, the seventh homicide victim for the island this year, 2012.
Detectives at the Central Detective Unit are following significant leads into this incident as they continue their investigations.
The Police are also renewing their appeal to the Grand Bahama Community for their assistance in: The homicide of a 27 year old male early morning, Thursday 12th July, 2012 that occurred in the Bruce Avenue West area minutes after 12am and The death of 33 year old Kirklyn Lightbourne that occurred shortly after 4:00pm on Saturday 7th July, 2012 in the East Indianman Road West area.
