(Nassau, Bahamas) Police on Wednesday issued a request for the public’s assistance in locating the person(s) responsible for a shooting incident that has left a male and a female dead. We’ve since learned, that the victims were a mother and son (Johnsons) originally from James’ Cistern Eleuthera and residents of Buttonwood Avenue, Pinewood Gardens in New Providence.
Police have identified the victims as 53 year old NORAMAE JOHNSON and her 23 year old son DARIO DEAN.
The story emerging from the tragedy is that the mother lost another son in the same area last year and may have been a witness in a pending trial related to that incident.
According to the police reports, the incident reportedly occurred shortly after 10:00 pm on Tuesday 05th June, 2012. Initial police reports indicate that the victims, believed to be family members were inside an apartment at Buttonwood Avenue, Pinewood Gardens when some unknown person(s) forced their way into the home. Both persons received multiple gunshot injuries to the body and were pronounced dead at the scene.
