(Eleuthera, Bahamas) The Department of Environmental Health Services has provided their plans for Ground Fogging activities for the month of June, to begin on Monday June 4th, 2012.
Ground Fogging is meant to control the mosquito population and residents are being asked to assist the department in reducing the mosquito population by removing all water holding containers including; derelict vehicles, old bottles, cans, tires and appliances etc. from their yards and take them to the approved dumpsites in their respective areas.
The DEHS will continue ground fogging on the Island of Eleuthera beginning Monday June 4th weather permitting. Ground Fogging will be conducted between the hours of 7:30pm and 11pm each evening during the work week
All keepers of bee hives are kindly asked to secure the bees during the fogging exercises.
The department is further encouraging residents on the Island of Eleuthera to keep their surroundings Clean, Green and Pristine.
