(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – On June 15th and 16th the Eleuthera Darts Association (EDA) will host the Bahamas Champion’s Cup, which will see four islands battle it out, putting forth the best team from each island, including New Providence, Abaco, Grand Bahama and Eleuthera. According to EDA president, Mr. Anthony Crean fifty to sixty persons are expected to hit the island for the national event. Eleuthera’s top team, the Krusty Krab Crushers headed by Denny Culmer will represent the island.
The host EDA executive board topped by Anthony Crean, also has Denny Rankine as vice president, Bessie Culmer as treasurer, Meaghan Thompson as assistant treasurer, Tracy Culmer as secretary, and assistant secretary, Benny Culmer. Four additional teams are currently active in Eleuthera – the Ronnie’s Tuna headed by Teddy Petty, the Mate and Jenny’s Scrappers headed by Clyde Bethel, the Dilly Tree headed by Henry Knowles and the I-95 Shooters headed by Perry Clarke.
In the recent Palmetto Point Homecoming tournament held during the Whit Monday weekend, individual winners were Kelsey Rankine in third, Dwight Pinder in second place, and Denny Rankine in first. Denny also received the trophy for the most Tons, while Dwight Pinder nabbed the High Off trophy with 141.
