ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS ARRESTED BY POLICE
Police are questioning two (2) men in connection with two separate armed robberies of two BANKS – One in Long Island and the other in New Providence.
The first incident reportedly occurred around 10:00 am on Thursday 31st May, 2012 at Scotia Bank, Long Island. Initial police reports indicate that two (2) armed men entered the establishment and demanded cash. The culprits reportedly robbed the establishment of an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area. A short while later police arrested one of the suspects.
The second incident reportedly occurred around 11:00 am on Thursday 31st May, 2012. Initial reports indicate that two (2) men entered First Caribbean Bank, Marathon Road and robbed the establishment of an undisclosed amount of cash. Moments later, officers of the Traffic Division arrested one of the suspects at Marathon and Wulff Roads with an undisclosed amount of cash, believed to be the property of First Caribbean Bank. Active police investigations continue.
POLICE INVESTIGATES TRAFFIC FATALITY
Police are investigating a traffic accident that has left one man in hospital and another dead. The incident reportedly occurred around 6:15 pm on Thursday 31st May, 2012. Initial reports indicate that the driver of a red 2001 Mitsubishi Nativa was traveling north along Sir Milo Butler Highway when he lost control and collided into a tree. Both people were taken to hospital via EMS personnel where the passenger remains in critical condition. Active police investigations continue.
POLICE REQUEST HELP IN LOCATING MURDER SUSPECTS
Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating three (3) men responsible for a shooting incident that has left a man dead (#61). The incident reportedly occurred around 8:20 pm on Thursday 31st May, 2012. Preliminary reports are that the victim was in the parking lot at Super Wash, Prince Charles Drive when he was approached by the occupants of a silver Toyota vehicle and subsequently shot. The victim received gunshot injuries to the upper body and was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. WANTED SUSPECT ARRESTED BY POLICE
On Tuesday 29th May, 2012 police issued a wanted bulletin for 19 year old DWAYNE KELLY aka “RUMMY” of PALM BEACH STREET. Police wish to inform that around 2:00 pm on Thursday 31st May, 2012 officers of the Central Intelligence Bureau (CIB) acting on information arrested the suspect in the area of Coconut Grove. OFFICERS OF THE MOBILE DIVISION MAKE FIREARM ARREST
An adult male along with a juvenile male and female are in police custody after being found in possession of a handgun and ammunition. Officers of the Mobile Division arrested the suspects around 8:35 pm on Thursday 31st May, 2012 after executing a search warrant on an apartment occupied by them.
