POLICE RENEW APPEAL IN MURDER SUSPECT HUNT
POLICE are once again calling on the public to help them find Sorvino Pacino Rahming (pictured) a 33 – year old suspect of Edmand Street, White Grove who is wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of Sean EdmundNathaniel Neville that occurred at Woodlawn Way on Friday 27th February 2015.
Rahming is described as a light brown male of a medium build about 5’ 5” – 5’ 7” in height.
HANDGUN AND AMMO SEIZED, MAN AND WOMAN ARRESTED
According to reports, around 6:00pm on Monday 27th April 2015, a man and a woman from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, were returning home, when they were arrested by police at the U. S. Customs pre-clearance section at LPIA after a handgun along with 88 rounds of ammunition were found in their handbag.
FIREARM AND DRUG SEIZURE BY SOUTHWESTERN
According to reports, around 2:30pm on Monday 27th April 2015, officers from the Southwestern Division acting on intelligence went to a bushy area located on Faith Avenue, where they observed three men in an abandoned building acting suspiciously. The men on seeing the officers fled on foot. The officers gave chase but were unable to catch the men. During a search of the abandoned building the officers found several plastic bags containing just over 7 pounds of marijuana along with a handgun containing 8 live rounds of ammunition. No one was arrested for this find.
MAN ARRESTED BY POLICE IN ELEUTHERA FOR DRUG POSSESSION
According to reports, around 6:00pm on Tuesday 28th April 2015, officers from the Eleuthera District acting on intelligence went to the Spanish Wells dock, where they observed a man leaving a cargo boat with a box in his hand. The officers conducted a search of the box and found 4 ounces of marijuana. The 37 – year old man was arrested and is expected to appear in court later this week to be formally charged.
6 SUSPECTS ARRESTED DURING OPERATION
POLICE are reporting the arrest of 6 persons for various criminal offences to include, possession of dangerous drugs, house breaking and assault during an operation conducted throughout New Providence earlier today.
The operation which is consistent with the Commissioner’s 2015 Policing Priorities, targeted persons involved in criminal activities, such as drugs and firearms, persons wanted for various criminal offences, prolific offenders, persons wanted for outstanding court warrants and motorists operating in Breach of the Traffic Laws.
6 ARRESTED AND 14 DRIVERS CITED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS DURING 24 HOURS PERIOD
Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the arrests of six (6) persons during the past 24 hours for various minor and major offences. Additionally, 14 drivers were cited for various traffic violations.
POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN THREE SHOOTING INCIDENTS
In the first incident, around 9:00pm on Monday 27th April 2015, a man was sitting in front of his home located at Balt Avenue, South Beach, when three men armed with a handgun accosted him and shot him in the lower back before fleeing on foot. The man was taken to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
In the second incident, around 10:00pm on Tuesday 28th April 2015, a man was walking on Lily of the Valley Corner, when he was shot twice to the body. The man was taken to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
In the second incident, shortly after 10:00pm on Tuesday 28th April 2015, a man was walking on Market Street, when he was shot twice to the body. The man was taken to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
Investigations are ongoing.
