A weeklong operation led by the Drug Enforcement Unit has resulted in a huge seizure of dangerous drugs on Wednesday 16th April 2014.
According to reports, around 5:30pm on Wednesday 16th April 2014 the weeklong DEU intelligence led operation culminated in the Ragged Island Chain of Cays after officers uncovered eighty-eight (88)mpackages of marijuana with an estimated weight of 3,000 pounds and a street value 3 million dollars.
Officers from the Exuma Marine Services and DEU’s OPBAT partners assisted DEU in this operation.
Investigations are ongoing by DEU.
