(Nassau, Bahamas) – A 15 year old teen girl of Pilgrim Avenue off Boyd is in police custody after attempting to rob a business establishment, in the area of Baillou Hill Road and the East West Highway.
According to reports around 12:48 pm on Friday 02nd August, 2013 the juvenile entered a business establishment purporting to be a customer.
It is reported that once inside the establishment; the teen girl produced a shotgun and demanded cash.
She was reportedly unsuccessful with her request and was eventually subdued by a security officer.
It is further reported that as the female was being subdued, a gunshot was fired; however no one was injured.
The female was arrested by police and her shotgun along with a quantity of shotgun shells confiscated. Active police investigations continue.
