**POLICE SEEK ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS**
Police are requesting the public’s help in locating six (6) males’ responsible for four (4) separate armed robberies over the weekend.
ARMED ROBBERY ONE: In the first incident police are requesting the public’s help in locating two (2) males responsible for robbing a convenience store at Jennie Street. The incident reportedly occurred around 12:30 pm on Saturday 1st June, 2013. Preliminary reports indicate that the men, both of whom were allegedly armed with handguns robbed the establishment and a customer of an undetermined amount of cash and fled the area on foot north into the Peardale area. One of the men reportedly wore a white shirt and a blue basketball pants and the other a blue jeans trousers.
ARMED ROBBERY TWO: The second armed robbery reportedly occurred at a business establishment located Boyd Road and Nassau Street. According to reports shortly before 11:00 pm on Saturday 1st June, 2013 a male about 5’4” tall wearing a black pants and a red shirt entered the establishment allegedly armed with a high powered weapon and demanded cash. The culprit reportedly robbed the establishment of an undetermined amount of cash and an employee of her Samsung Star 2 cell phone and fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.
ARMED ROBBERY THREE: The third incident reportedly occurred shortly after 2:00 am on Sunday 2nd June, 2013 in the parking lot a resort and resulted in two men being robbed of cash and jewelry by a man allegedly armed with a handgun.
ARMED ROBBERY FOUR: The fourth incident reportedly occurred shortly before 4:00 am on Sunday 2nd June, 2013 in the area of Dowdeswell Street and resulted in two (2) people being robbed by a man allegedly armed with a handgun. It is reported that during the incident the culprit gun butted one of the victims and robbed the other of cash and a blackberry cell phone and fled the area on foot west along Shirley Street.
ROBBERY: Police are also searching for two (2) men responsible for robbing a convenience store located Peardale off Wulff Road. The incident reportedly occurred around 1:30 pm on Sunday 2nd June, 2013 and resulted in the store being robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash and an employee of a Blackberry cell phone. During the incident one of the culprits reportedly wore a black hat and black shirt and the other a white t-shirt. Police are investigating all matters and are appealing to members of the public who may have any information regarding any of these incidents to contact police anonymously.
**POLICE MAKE FIREARM ARREST**
A 34 year old male is in police custody after being found in possession of a shotgun and a quantity of shotgun shells.
Officers of the Mobile Division arrested the man shortly after 9:00 am on Sunday 2nd June, 2013 at Market Street in the area of John Road. Active police investigations continue.
**POLICE ARREST MEN REFERENCE TO INDECENT EXPOSURE**
In keeping with the Commissioner of Police 2013 Policing Plans, Tackling Crime & Enforcing the Rules of the Road, police in New Providence conducted an island-wide operation. The operation was conducted between the hours of 7:00 pm on Saturday 1st June, 2013 and 1:00 am on Sunday 2nd June, 2013 and resulted in forty-five (45) drivers being cited for various traffic infractions and ten (10) people arrested for various offences. Four (4) males ages 45, 39, 26 and 21 years were arrested reference to Indecent Exposure at an establishment located Tonique Williams Darling Highway; three (3) males on outstanding Criminal Warrants of Apprehension, one (1) male reference to Dangerous Drugs, one (1) male for Failing to Give Name and one (1) male for Breach of the Liquor License Act.
In other matters, officers of the Mobile Division arrested six (6) people for various offences on Saturday 01st June, 2013.
Two (2) males were arrested reference to rape, one (1) man reference to violating the condition of his bail, one (1) reference to House-breaking, one (1) reference to Damage and one (1) man reference to Causing Harm.
Police are also encouraging members of the public to always be aware of their surrounding and always on the alert.
