According to police reports, around, 4:46am on Tuesday 1/1/13, Harbour Island police on moblie patrol encountered a large group of persons in the area of the Viccum Night Club conducting themselves in a disorderly manner. Additional police arrived at the scene and the people in the group were instructed to leave the area, however, moments later, some individuals reportedly threw a hail of bottles and rocks at the officers.
As a result bystanders had to flee the area to avoid being injured. The police subsequently cautioned and arrested seven males and three females in relation to this incident.
Investigations are ongoing.
