Seven years old London Percentie, of Harbour Island, who died of an illness on Saturday, November 9th, 2013, was remembered in a special way by the island community on Tuesday, November 12th, during a Unity Rally and motorcade.
There has been an outpouring of sympathy from the entire community for the Percentie family on the island since news of the child’s death first spread.
The previously planned rally and motorcade event had been organized by the Harbour Island All Age School to encourage oneness and, according to Principal, Mr. Yorick Sands, to inspire unity between the school, students, parents, churches and the community as a whole, however it took on additional significance for London.
Golf carts and other vehicles in the motorcade were festively decorated with some highlighting photos and mementos of little London.
