(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – A team of Royal Bahamas Police Officers in Central Eleuthera, executed a search warrant on a white single storey stone residence on Hester Street in Savannah Sound where each room in the building was individiually rented to seperate tenants. A search of a front northern bedroom occupied and rented by an adult male, revealed a large quantity of compressed suspected marijuana in two clear plastic wrappings with an estimated weight of 2lbs; 19 individual foil wraps also containing suspected marijuana with an estimated weight of 19 grams; and also one clear plastic wrap containing suspected marijuana seeds with an estimated weight of a couple ounces. Police also confiscated an undisclosed amount of cash as proceeds of the sale of dangerous drugs.
The suspect and materials were transported to the Governor’s Habour Police Station for further processing.
The suspect remains in custody.
