The Water & Sewerage Corporation (WSC) in Eleuthera has been working to fix a hole accidentally bored through an 8 inch main water line by Bahamas Power and Light (BPL) workers on Sunday, July 31st, 2016. Numerous complaints have been coming in from residents in the areas of Gregory Town and Hatchet Bay and WSC manager on the island, has said that repairs completed on Monday, which should have normalized operations were set back by another piece of equipment going down at the Central Eleuthera RO Plant. As a result of the downed equipment, production and distribution of water to Central Eleuthera has been reduced. At last update on Monday, teams were awaiting a replacement part from New Providence to carry on with repairs.
