(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – A rental van being driven by an Eleuthera male, was reportedly travelling south along Queen’s Highway in the area of Edwin’s Turtle Lake Marine Preserve, when according to reports, something went mechanically wrong with the vehicle causing the driver to lose control and the vehicle to overturn on the western side of the road.

There were six people in the vehicle, who all received injuries and were treated at the Levy Medical Clinic in Governor’s Harbour. They were referred to New Providence for further medical evaluation, with the exception of the driver, Mr. Clifford Sands.

The five passengers included;  Trinidadian Soca entertainer Denise Belfon; Isabella Joseph; Belfon’s manager, Natasha Thomas Hemming; as well as Perez Smith and Stephen Bain, both of New Providence.

At about 6pm on Saturday, the injured passengers were transported to the hospital in New Providence via Le Air Charter from the Governor’s Harbour airport.

According to authorities a concert had been planned for Saturday evening, October 24th, at a Club in Palmetto Point.
