(Local Government, Hatchet Bay) – We are elated to inform you that the Public Library and Computer Lab, housed in the Hatchet Bay Administration Building, is now open!
It has been a combined effort of government agencies and community builders alike to ensure that our children have adequate access to these very essential educational resources.
We are especially grateful to Ms. Susy Siel, Executive Director of Freedom to Read, Inc. and her volunteers. She has generously stocked the Library walls from ceiling to floor!
Additionally, we give thanks to Mrs. Levada Ingraham for spearheading a small team of volunteers on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:00pm – 6:00pm, providing homework supervision and literacy development activities.
We also wish to express our sincere gratitude to the community supporters; those who gave of their time, talent and treasures.
In honour of this occasion, we invite you to join us. Together, we will celebrate the official reopening of this facility.
When: 2:00pm on Thursday July 30th
Where: Administration Building, Hatchet Bay
Without a doubt, this project will make a positive contribution to our young people’s educational growth and development, thus ensuring a brighter future in Hatchet Bay. We hope you will join us as we mark this achievement.
