(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – Police are remaining tight lipped as the investigation continues into the apparent brutal murder of a 2013 school leaver, of Central Eleuthera High School (CEHS) in Palmetto Point, the same settlement where the young man lived and where his slain body was discovered on Sunday morning, July 6th, 2014.
They do confirm that a person has been assisting authorities since Sunday with the investigation but they continue their appeal to the public who may have seen or heard anything, no matter how small, to come forward.
As of Monday morning, no one had been officially arrested or charged according to District, Supt. Ismella Davis. Police also confirmed that a knife was found during the course of investigations on Sunday, which has yet to be formally linked to the case.

Witnesses in Palmetto Point said on Monday that police have had attention focused on at least two other individuals.
The official release of the identity of the deceased is expected from officials by end-of-day Monday.

The owners of the building under-construction, where the body was found, say they were alerted on Sunday morning by a resident who made the initial discovery after first noticing blood on the steps outside the building. The scene was described as gruesome.
Police said the young male clad in a black shirt and short gray cargo pants was found laying face up on the ground. He had multiple apparent stab wounds to the back, neck and arms.
The body of the deceased was later transported to New Providence for autopsy. A team of Officers from the Central Detective Unit have joined the ongoing investigation.
A positive identification of the deceased was expected to come on Monday morning by a close family member who was expected to visit the morgue in New Providence.
