(ROCK SOUND, Eleuthera) – The Eleuthera Junior Baseball League of Rock Sound continued play with week # 18 games in Rock Sound to continue the second week-end of championship play .

In game #1
– Coach Pitch Division – the Rock Sound Coco Plums won their second straight game of the 2014 Championship Series by default to sweep the Spanish Wells Hook N’ Jook 2 games to none. This is the first time in three years that any team was able to defeat the Hook N’ Jook team.  The Rock Sound Coco Plums went on with the celebrations by spraying their coaches Larry Forbes, Lincoln Young and Marco Bethel with sodas and apple cider. Congratulations to the Rock Sound Coco Plums team and their coaches.

In game #2 – Minor Division – Rock Sound Marlins blew away the Spanish Wells Sluggers by the score of 16 to 10 to tie the championship series one to one. Dillon Ingraham got the win in relief of Jonathon Hall, while Payden Newbold was tagged with the lost in relief of Luke Boykin. The series goes back to Spanish Well this Saturday to complete the final game in the best 2 out of 3 Championship Series. Game time is11:30 am. The following week the Eleuthera Junior Baseball League will be sending a Minor (11-12) all star team to the Bahamas Baseball Federation’s 2014 Andrea Rodgers National Championships in Freeport, Grand Bahama.

In game # 3- Junior Division – the Rock Sound Stingrays blasted the Spanish Wells Stingrays by the score of 20 to 4 to make a clean sweep in the Championship Series 2 games to none. This is also the first time in three years that any team was able to defeat the Spanish Wells Stingrays team in a championship series. Tyreke Leary blasted a three run homer over the left field fence for the Rock Sound Stingrays. Jonathon Armbrister got the win and Kade Roberts was tagged with the lost.

The Rock Sound Stingrays went on with the celebrations by spraying their coaches Larry Forbes and Lincoln Young and with apple cider and by dunking Coach Marco Bethel with the water cooler. Congratulations to the Rock Sound Stingrays team and their coaches.
