The owner of the seven dogs involved in a vicious pack attack on James’ Cistern native, Mrs. Carnetta Gaitor, has been identified and charged, according to local authorities.

The vacation home owner, a resident in the German Village, Oceanview area of Eleuthera, will face seven counts related to a “ferocious dog attack by unmuzzled dogs”. He is expected to appear in court on January 13th, 2014.

Authorities confirmed that the Bahamas Humane Society and Animal Control will be contacted to deal with the seven dogs involved in the attack.  As of Tuesday, December 31, 2013, the dogs were reportedly still not in custody. 

Now several days after the vicious attack on Friday, December 27th, 2013, the victim is said to be still receiving treatment in hospital, on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31st, 2013.

It is believed that one or more of the dogs may have also not been licensed.
