(Eleuthera, Bahamas) By Race Staff: The 2013 Pineappleman Sprint Triathlon sends sincere apologies out to all interested and/or registered competitors for confusion about the date of this year’s race.
The official race date is June 8 not the previously announced June 1 date. The race is is part of the Pineapple Festival schedule which runs that same weekend.

The annual triathlon which covers a 500-meter swim, 16-kilometer bike and 5K run is now taking early registration. Register by May 1st and get an additional free race tee shirt or tank top of your choice.
The first 10 entries into the new student division are free. There is a high school and primary school race. Relay teams and individuals may enter. Pineapple Fields Resort near Governor’s Harbour and adjacent to Tippy’s restaurant and a world-class beach is aboard as a first-time sponsor this year. Racers will vie for a 3-night stay at their resort.
Returning sponsors Sands Beer, Rainbow Inn, Laughing Lizard Cafe, Island Made Gift Shop and Island Touch Massage have also donated prizes.
