SAN SALVADOR MAN IN CUSTODY FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT
A 41 – year old man of Cockburn Town is in custody assisting police with investigations into an alleged Sexual Assault that occurred on San Salvador on Monday 21st April 2014. According to reports, around 10:00am, a female victim was at the dock in Cockburn Town where she was
allege to have been sexually assaulted by the suspect. The police commenced an immediate investigation into the incident that led to the arrest of the suspect two hours later.
Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE IN EXUMA LAUNCH ISLAND-WIDE MANHUNT FOR SUSPECT IN SHOOTING INCIDENT

Police in Exuma has launched an island wide manhunt for 33 – year old Deanardo Smith AKA ‘Fat Boy’ of Hartswell, Exuma who is wanted in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday 22nd April 2014.

According to reports, shortly after 2:00am, a man was about to enter his vehicle following and altercation with the suspect in the George Town area when the suspect armed with a handgun allegedly shot him in the abdomen and fled on foot.

The victim is presently being detained at the island’s local clinic in stable condition and is expected to be airlifted New Providence sometime this morning. Investigations are ongoing.

SUSPECTS TO BE ARRAIGNED IN COURT (New Providence) TODAY ON A NUMBER OF SERIOUS CHARGES

Eight (8) suspects are expected to appear in court today (Tuesday 22nd April 2014) at 10:00am to be formally charged for a number of serious offences.

All of the suspects were charge by Detectives from the Central Detective Unit.

The suspects are:

  1. A 27 – year old man of Union Village for the Attempted Murder of Eric Louis;
  2. A 22 – year old man of Rock Crusher Road for Possession of Firearm with Intent to Supply and Ammunition;
  3. A 30 – year old man of Resurrection Road for Possession of Firearm with Intent to Supply and Ammunition;
  4. A 37 – year old man of Saunders Road for Possession of Firearm with Intent to Supply and Ammunition;
  5. A 19 – year old man of Seymour Street for Possession of Firearm with Intent to Supply and Ammunition;
  6. A 44 –year old man of Jumbey Street for Possession of Firearm with Intent to supply and Ammunition;
  7. A 23 – year old man of Union Village for Possession of Firearm;
  8. A 29 – year old man of East Street for Armed Robbery.

Additionally, nine (9) persons were charged and taken to court during the past week by Detectives from the Central Detective Unit for a number of charges to include Unlawful Sexual Intercourse and Murder.
