The Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF) is reporting that as of Wednesday morning December 4th, thirty nine (39) Haitian migrants had been captured (35 males and 4 females) in Long Island, 35 of whom were flown into New Providence on Tuesday evening.
A major search for migrants on that Island in the Central Bahamas started after 2:00pm on Tuesday when a Haitian sloop with a significant but unknown number of migrants landed illegally at Turn Bull and made good their escape on land.
