(Nassau, Bahamas) RBPF Release: Police are searching for two (2) men who shot a security officer during an armed robbery, at a business establishment located Baillou Hill Road south.
The incident reportedly occurred shortly before 9:00 pm on Sunday 21st July, 2013.
Preliminary reports indicate that the officer was inside the establishment when two (2) men, both of whom were armed with handguns entered and demanded cash.
The culprits reportedly robbed the establishment, its customers and the security officer of an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area south along Baillou Hill Road in a reportedly stolen black Cherokee jeep, .
The officer was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he is detained in serious condition.
Police are actively investigating and appealing to members of the public who may have any information that can assist police in locating the suspects or the stolen jeep, to contact them anonymously.
