February 12th, 1912 – July 26th, 2016

 

Sybil Carey-Treco of Nassau, formerly of Tarpum Bay, Eleuthera, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s residence in Spanish Wells.

She is survived by three sons – Gordon, Eric, and Steven Carey; five daughters – Orville Shoupe, Phyllis Cornea, Daphne Roberts, Sandra van Tuijn, and Gail Kelley; two adopted daughters – Kathleen Grout and Joy Bethel; two daughters-in-law – Elspeth Carey and Debra Carey; five sons-in-law – Bob Cornea, Ray Roberts, Inglis Albury, Kurt van Tuijn and Jim Kelley; one brother – Sidney Carey; twenty-five grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special cousin Zelma Nottage. We will remember and love you always as you have left fond memories forever in our hearts.

            She is pre-deceased by two husbands Joseph Samuel Carey and Kenneth W. Treco; one son Sherrin Carey; two daughters Jackie Olssen and Florence Albury; one brother Osborne Carey; one sister Florence Nottage; and one great-granddaughter Ashley Carey.

            Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 6th, 2016 at Evangelistic Temple at 1:00pm. The viewing will be at 11:00am until the commencement of the service. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Curry.
