Coral Harbour Base, Nassau, Bahamas – The Royal Bahamas Defence Force made history as the Force conducted its first live feed Aerial Drone Training Exercise on July 15th, 2016. In a release the RBDF said that it is  Committed to Guarding the Heritage of The Bahamas, and it is within this light that the Defence Force is in the process of developing an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Unit to join the fight to combat illicit activities within the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. This advance measure  is expected to  enhance the Force’s operational capabilities that will allow operators to have a bird’s eye view of a targeted area. Another stated goal of the UAV Unit is to effectively assist in search and rescue efforts.
