(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – The evening sky could not get any clearer than what it was on Sunday, September 27th as the supermoon rose over Eleuthera, in its plump rosy glory, emitting a beautifully intense glow across the evening sky. As if this wasn’t enough, the rare supermoon lunar eclipse that followed was spectactular and some of the many shades of light, darkness and red are seen in the collage below spanning the period of about 8pm to 12:30pm – during which time, the earth’s shadow crept across the surface of the moon until only the dark red glow was visible. Beyond that lovely sight, light slowly peeked through as the shadows abated and the moon was once again reflecting from the water surrounding this beautiful island… Eleuthera, Bahamas. The last time such a Supermoon Lunar Eclipse was seen was in 1982 and the next is expected in 2033.
