(Eleuthera, Bahamas) In recognition of World Day of Peace, Rotarians with the Rotary Club of Eleuthera and Officers with the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF) under the leadership of Police Superintendent Christopher Wright (also a Rotarian), took to the street in the township of Hatchet Bay.  This walkabout allowed the Police and members of the Rotary Club of Eleuthera to mingle with residents, hear their concerns, and promote PEACE. The team was accompanied by Township Chairman, Ricardo Dean.

Superintendent Rotarian Wright, communicated that he was pleased with the outcome of this initiative, and expressed thanks to the Rotary Club of Eleuthera, as well as to the Hatchet Bay Township Committee, saying he was pleased that the response received was overwhelming, and feedback was positive.

Members of the Rotary Club of Eleuthera are also in the process of doing readings at all of the primary schools on the island, and have already been asked to return to three schools to read to more classes; which they said was very encouraging.
