A 25 – year old man wanted for murder is detained in hospital under heavy police guard after he was shot by police during an arrest on Thursday 20th March 2014.
According to reports, shortly after 12:00midnight, a special police operation team acting on direct intelligence went to a home located at Soursop Street, Pinewood Gardens in search of the suspect who is wanted for the recent murder of Carlos Colebrooke that occurred on Saturday 16th March 2014. When the police entered the suspect’s residence, the suspect pointed a handgun at police. Police in fear of their lives shot the suspect to the abdomen area. The suspect was taken to hospital where he is detained in
serious condition under heavy police guard.
Police recovered a handgun along with a quantity of ammunition from the suspect.
