BIMINI POLICE AND DEU OFFICERS MAKE MAJOR DRUG BUST IN BIMINI
Two (2) men ages 40 and 20 years of Bimini along with a 26-year old man from Grand Bahama are in custody after they were arrested for a large quantity of dangerous drugs in Bimini on Saturday 5th October 2013.

According to reports, around 8:00am, acting in intelligence, a team of officers from Bimini along with officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, went to an area in North Bimini, where they found the three (3) men in possession of four hundred and eleven (411) pounds of Marijuana. The estimated street value of the drugs
is four hundred and eleven thousand dollars ($411,000:00). The suspects were then taken into custody and have all been flown to New Providence.

Investigations are ongoing.


DEU OFFICERS MAKE LARGE DRUG BUST IN NEW PROVIDENCE
A 45 – year old man from Andros and a 40-year old man from Abaco, along with two men ages 32 and 24 years from New Providence, are in custody after they were arrested for a large quantity of dangerous drugs on Sunday 6th October 2013.

According to reports, around 4:00am, acting in intelligence, a team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, went to the Clifton Pier area, where they found the four men in possession of one hundred and eighteen (118) pounds of Marijuana. The estimated street value of the drugs is one hundred and eighteen
thousand dollars ($118,000:00). The suspects were then taken into custody.
