**POLICE INVESTIGATES SHOOTING**
Police are investigating a shooting incident that has left two (2) men in hospital. The incident reportedly occurred shortly before 2:00 am on Saturday 09th June, 2012.
Preliminary reports indicate that a group of men were standing on the corner of Palm Beach Street and Robinson Road when they were approached by three (3) men who fired gunshots into the group, which resulted in two males being shot. A 29 year old male of Sea Breeze received a gunshot injury to the head and was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he is detained in critical condition. The second male, a 17 year old of Ridgeland Park west received a gunshot injury to his knee and was taken to hospital via private vehicle where he is detained in stable condition. Police are questioning four people, three (3) males and a female in connection with this incident. Active police investigations continue.


**DRIVER OF VEHICLES SOUGHT BY POLICE **
On Wednesday 23rd November, 2011 a female pedestrian was walking in the general area of the Government High School, when she was struck by a white vehicle, towing a small blue vehicle, believed to be a Honda hatchback. Neither driver’s remained at the scene to assist the female who remains incapacitated. Police are continuing their investigations into the incident and are appealing to members of the public who can assist police in identifying and locating the owners of the vehicles to contact police at 919, 322-3333/4 or the Traffic Police Station at 393-7204, 393-7714/5. 397-0851.

**POLICE INVESTIGATES RECENT HOMICIDE**
Police have launched an investigation into the death of a male after he was found unresponsive through a track road at Jasmine Gardens. The deceased was discovered around 8:20 am on Friday 8th June, 2012 with injuries to the upper body. At present police are uncertain of the circumstances surrounding this incident and are appealing to members of the public who may have any information that can assist with the investigations to contact police.

POLICE INVESTIGATES ALLEDGED DROWING
Police are investigating an alleged drowning that has left a man dead. Police reports indicate that shortly after 12:00 noon on Friday 8th June, 2012 police received information that the body of a black male was found floating in waters at Lyford Cay. The male was retrieved from the shoreline where he was pronounced dead. Active police investigations continue.

POLICE MAKE DRUG ARREST
A 33 year old male of Sumner Street, Nassau Village is in police custody after he was found in possession of a quantity of suspected marijuana.
Officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit arrested the suspect around 3:30 pm on Friday 8th June, 2012 at Sumner Street.

DRUG ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS CONFISCATE HANDGUN & AMMUNITION
Officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) continue to remove illegal firearms from the streets of New Providence. According to police reports around 5:30 pm on Friday 8th June, 2012 DEU officers were on routine patrol on Spikenard Road off Cowpen Road, when they observed a male acting suspiciously. It is reported that the male on seeing the officers dropped a bag and fled into nearby bushes, evading police. Officers retrieved the bag and discovered a handgun along with a large quantity of ammunition. Active police investigations continue.
